DO YOU NEED A RIDE is a short horror satire film starring Mitzi Akaha and Joseph Haro about male entitlement, female vulnerability, and the concessions we make to survive. It played the all-virtual 2021 edition of the Indy Film Festival and premiered online simultaneously at Retrospective of Jupiter and Film Shortage.

Following a camping trip, Iris emerges from a public park restroom to find that her friends have taken off without her, leaving her stranded in the woods with a nearly-dead phone. While walking along the road, she hitches a ride with Noah, a good-looking guy with whom she seems to click immediately. But when she wakes up after dozing off in Noah’s car, Iris realizes that his intentions are far from pure — and she must get creative to save her own life.
